Rhythms

images (12)

there are laws
in you
that you do not
need
to understand
to follow

pulls of the tide
are in you
circumstances of
the stars
in you

rules
like
roots of
monstrous oaks
in you

beyond thinking
incensed
by reason

impossibly

possible

evolutions
through
you

through
rhythms of
the divinity
in you

~

          Cher,

I am so grateful to you, as well! I haven’t written poetry in ages but it seems there are still some that like to come through me. I am so grateful to wherever they come from!

Thank you so much for making me smile :)

Isn’t it interesting, Allison, that you use the term, “……that like to come through me.” I have said that same kind of thing on many occasions to describe my writing. Sometimes I read it over and say, oh, that’s quite funny, or, that’s not too bad after all! *grin* So I know what you mean. And yes, you are a wonderful poet my dear. Perhaps more poems will find their way to your consciousness and decide to joyfully be expressed. I have a feeling that will be true in the months to come. Just a little inside info for you! ;-) Hugs, Cher xo

My dear Allison! This is such a wonderful poem. Magical.

I truly read this out loud! I’m listening to some stirring music at the moment, and this poem complimented the music very well.

    “there are laws
    in you
    that you do not
    need
    to understand
    to follow”

    Very strong opening.

Are you having a great weekend? I hope so! :)

      Dearest Mike,

You have just completely made my Sunday morning with your beautiful words. Thank you humbly, humbly. I LOVE that you read this along with some “stirring music” – this rocks my creative little heart.

There is a place my poems come from that is the most sacred energy I have ever known. I am just blessed to channel them through. I know you know what I am talking about, it is the same place your wonderful photography comes from.

I am so, so grateful when someone connects to poetry because I know Love has come through. That’s the only way to explain it. There is nothing more important in the world, or more joyful :)

My weekend has been just lovely, thank you. About to pour some tea and delve into a delicious book, as the rain falls. Bliss. Hope you are enjoying yours!

      Peace, my dear, always ~

I’m really happy I could help make your Sunday morning a pleasant one! :)
Something tells me, your “creative little heart” is as big as the moon! I just love reading your blog and interacting with you; it’s a great part of my day.

What book did you read? I’ve always thought rain and reading are perfectly matched! I’ll sit comfortably, with a window open, listening to the rain; which is perfect for meditation. The fresh, cool breezes, earthy smells and rhythm of the rain is pure relaxation :)

Well, I just love interacting with you, too! Truly I always look forward to your comments and perspectives as well as your photography. You are so kind to compare my heart to the moon, I love that! I love the moon because it cannot glow on it’s own but rather reflects the light of the sun. Isn’t that just like all of us? Reflecting the light of warmth and love to one another :)

I am reading a book that is rocking my world called “The War of Art” by Steven Pressfield. If you’ve not read it yet, I beg of you, do. In it the author describes Resistance as the greatest enemy of creative work. If you read it I would really love to know your thoughts on it! For me it’s like page after page of “Oh my God – yes!”

100% agreed with you on listening to the rain and smelling the earth. I’m wildly excited to meditate as the spring comes forward. Having started my practice this winter, I’ve not experienced meditating at a time of rebirth. Something tells me it’s going to be ab-soul-utely groovy. . . . :)

          Peace, always ~
